merdeka tour

August 31st 2016, Merdeka! Although it was a public holiday, we stayed at home because again, we try to avoid crowded places.

However, we did celebrate Merdeka that weekend. We went to Tugu Negara and to Dataran Merdeka with the Celoreng/ Soldier Theme. A place which is a symbol of our Merdeka.

First, we went to Tugu Negara but unfortunately we couldn't get in because there was an event going on. So we took photos from outside the Tugu. Boo hoo! I wasn't satisfied though soooooo... the nearest we could go was Dataran Merdeka.

We are sooo going to go to Tugu Negara again next time. Although there was nothing much but it was such a historical place. We get to tell a little bit about Malaysian history to the boys.

Dataran Merdeka! I love the Sultan Abdul Samad building. It was a beautiful sight every time I pass through that road. In the day or at night, it was beautiful. I am amazed of the design and construction of the building. The road was closed that day. And teenagers were playing skateboards, roller blades and BMX in front of the SAS building. I didn't know there were pictures of all the Malaysian Prime Minister in Dataran Merdeka. Wow!
