pink sand
Product introduction: The Kinetic Sand. Okay, this is certainly not a NEED. But it was for the kids' development (motor skill), so it is an exception. I said "pink" sand but it doesn't really sell only in pink.
The kids love playing with them because they really like to make a mess. Their grandma was rolling her eyes when I bought this. We know what she means. "Ok kids! Pack the sand and lets play outside. You can make all the mess you want out there." But still, it was in my mother's perimeter ;p She warned, to make sure that we sweep everything after they've played.

Imelda loves to squeeze the sand. You can shape it, cut them apart and it'll oozes, move or melts down. Like magnets because it sticks to itself but not to you. Like clay, but less messier, because it doesn't stick on furniture or the floor. It's like a moving liquid but it leaves your hand dry. Soft and stretchy. And most important, you can easily clean them up and pack them away. No mess, no hassle.
It's perfect for a birthday present.
While kids play, we parents sit back and enjoy the food. Relaxed weekend.
