shopping for Raya!

Spelling Raya itself made me asked myself, what month is it now? It seems so long ago but why am I only writing it NOW?? Well you know the answer.

We hardly go to malls to shop since a few years back. Malls are boring especially when we have nothing to buy. Instead we prefer to have fun with recreational activities for the kids such as skateboarding, rock climbing, jumping at Jumpstreet and you got the idea.

However, July 4th, we went shopping for Raya to our only two malls. It was either One Utama or Ikano Power Centre. And our only outlet was Brands Outlet.

But for Baju Kurung and Baju Melayu, we will usually go to The Store Sungai Buloh, where there are little shops/ kiosk selling traditional wear. Husband and I haven't bought any new baju raya for two straight years. Shameless to admit. To be honest I hardly wore baju kurung to the office and husband only wore his baju melayu during Raya, so why waste money and space to buy new ones? We wore what was currently in our wardrobe and only spend for the boys. The kids got one set of Baju Melayu each from their Nek Su and we bought another set each.

Spent at minimal cost this year.
