Kidzania, not for my kids yet.

Sunday, March 25th, I asked my hubby if we could go to Aquaria, KLCC that day. But he said "No, the kids are difficult to control in public."

"Oh, okay. So where should we go then?"

We were on the way to One Utama when we came across the 'Kidzania' billboard. Since, we're already nearby we decided, why not try Kidzania. It costs us RM105. "Grrrrrr..it's so expensive for kids to play these days" It was RM35 each x 3pax. RM35 for a kid is acceptable but why do they charge the parents? Do we use any of the facilities? Luckily they didn't charge babies. Or else I'll be more Grrrrrrr!!! We should have gone to Aquaria instead and it's cheaper by RM10.

Although, I have to admit that the facilities and concept are SUPERB. But for kids under the age of 4 can't really participate much. My kid won't. I don't know about others. Maybe he's not expose yet.

Speaking of concepts, my 2 cent review about Kidzania:

For admission, the concept was like boarding an airline. AirAsia to be specific. The ticket is exactly like AirAsia's airline ticket.

 The ticket

 The map
The queue. I was surprise with the crowd. I thought this crowd was really for AirAsia tickets. Duh!

 Waiting patiently and looking confused.
"Now everyone can Fly. Even me." Ikram said.
 Checking in as a foreigner.

The best thing about Kidzania is that it's "The city of Kids" concept to develop independent kids. They live like any other person in the world. Work, earn money, buy stuff. The "all-grown-up" routine. So they say Kidzania is about playing grown-ups and getting them ready for a better world.

Irfan's queue in CIMB to bank-in/ deposit his cheque of Kz50.00. BTW their currency in the kids wonderland is called Kidzo.

Waiting while observing how the whole system works.
Handing in his cheque to the cashier.

Already like a grown up.

After the bank experience, Irfan looks at the map to job hunt. "Hmmm...where should I go first? What should I do for a living?" Really looks like he's a tourist, lost in the middle of nowhere.

Stopped by the Police Station for a quick snap.

Visited the prison. They're so lucky their not behind the bars.

Fascinated by the adventure and activities. I thought he was gonna try this out if he imagines himself as Spiderman.

The best real-life roles I've ever seen. They were trained to be firemen. They queue at the fire station and when there was an emergency call, they got on the fire brigade, took a city tour with the siren switched on, each wearing their firemen uniform. When the siren was switched on and the fire truck was moving down the street of this almost-real-kidsworld, everybody else had to give way. Which I believe is one kind of moral education indirectly, because we lack these kind of values.

There was all sorts of different real-life roles such as police, baker, mechanic, model, doctor, painter and lots more. It read 90 different roles in the brochure. I didn't really count. These kids earn this Kidzos by working as these roles. That's the best part. They'll know how it feels like and how each roles contributes to the world. That I solute. Bringing morale values at an early stage is important.

BTW, Irfan don't want to participate in any of these roles. I explained to him how it all works but when he's anywhere near the place (studio, station, hospital, theater, etc), he'll shy away. So we looked into the map again and look for a suitable place for them. Guess what, it's the place where they go to every weekday! The Nursery. That's where they're most comfortable. Huhuhu..I felt like crying for wasting RM105 for nothing!! Huhuhu

The Nursery, there 2nd home. "Irfan, you've spent most of your time in the Nursery. Since you were a 2 months old until today. Aren't you bored?"

At least there's something new. Even that (the piano) we have at my mother's house but they aren't allow to touch it.

Nothing new, you've payed a guitar before.

The bouncy bedroom.

There was this house: Urbano's house, one of the places they're comfortable in too because there's hardly anyone in it.

The bath tub full of balls. Seem familiar?

Irfan likes playing in the kitchen wherever he goes.

Although my kids didn't get to participate or contribute much, Kidzania did open their eyes for a better living. It's absolutely a new experience to them and a new beginning of a longer journey ahead.

We'll visit again (not anytime soon) bu maybe when they're a lil bit older, 6-7 years old. For those who have kids this age, really do visit Kidzania.
