A good example for the Kids

We don't have to be perfect to be a role model. What right and wrong must be taught. Although, when we teach our kids not to do the don'ts, we, as parents musn't do it ourselves.

For example, my husband and I just looked at each other barely holding our laughter when our 3 almost 4 year old son said exactly the same phrase that we have used on him. Imagine if we say bad words/ swore people/ etc..etc..wouldn't that reflect on who you are? What the type of personality you're holding?

In the car, we've trained our sons to seat in their own car seats. However, when our eldest became older, he had to seat on the normal seat and wear the standard seatbelt. Me, not being a good example in the car, usually ignore the seatbelt, until Irfan was bright enough to reprimand "Mama tak pakai seatbelt? Nanti polis tangkap."

Opppsssie...

In the beginning it was funny. Later, we've realized how important it is to watch what we say and do. We can't say one thing and do the opposite.

At the age of Irfan, he really loves to compare what others around him do, with what he was taught.
